Question:

Trumpet mouthpiece problem?

When i play trumpet, the mouthpiece is more towards the left side of my lip than the right. I've tried to play so that it is at the center of my lips but when I start playing again, it gradually moves away again. Is this a problem? If so how can i fix it?

  1. One more thing buddy...despite variances in lips and teeth, the reason most 'off centering' occurs is because too much of the top lip is usually covered, causing discomfert very quickly and offering an internal 'excuse' to slide to the side.  The bottom lip is much tougher and generally larger.  Play with but a very small portion on top etc. and you will find great improvement in most all areas of embrochure development...godd luck, keep practising...PROPERLY!  ;)
