Trunk rattles from subs?

I was looking at getting dynamat for my entire car because i just put in new speakers and 2 alpine type-r's, and my trunk rattles very badly (not just the license plate) but i heard that dynamat doesnt really stop rattles it just stops road noise...

whats the best way i can stop rattles from my trunk?

Dynamat is incredible for sound dampening. It does reduce rattling in most cases, and with a second layer does the trick on almost any car. Mostly what you should start with is a trunk kit of xtreme dynamat, and double layer the trunk to reduce rattling, sound noise, and increase the bass level in your car. It not only tones down rattling, but makes the system 3db or higher louder so it's better and more enjoyable for you too. Door kits, roof kits, and floor kits are only needed with immense amount of bass, such as having 3 JL audio 13w7's would need all of those kits. If you buy the kit it's not so expensive, but having it installed takes a lot of time, effort, and money. I'm not sure with two type-r's it will need a whole car kit, just one or two layers in the whole trunk. Good luck.

take a one square foot piece of dyna mat and place it on the inside rear quarters of your trunk, take four (4) 6in. by 4in pieces and place them on the inside of the trunk lid, and take two (2) one square foot sections and place them on the floor of the trunk, place a piece the full length of your license plate, and voila......... rattle is gone GUARANTEED to work or your money back

Dynamat does work but to buy for your whole car is very expensive, close to 1000 if not more. Use spray foam insulation. That is the cheapest way to fix the rattle. After applying foam insulation cover the trunk with carpet or vinyl.
