It's amazing how trusting what you have learned and believing in yourself can do to your golf score...Once you have learned the fundamentals of grip, aim, alignment, and basic swing mechanics, it all comes down to trusting in those things...I posted earlier on how your eyes can play tricks on you when aiming at the target, but I learned something that helps even more..When facing a tight driving hole, or a par three surrounded by bunkers and water, I visualize a little box that I put my self into..I visualize the shot from behind the ball, pick an imaginary line and intermediate target, line up to that...After I set up, I don't look at the target again, cuz we tend to see the trouble surrounding it which brings on tension... I still focus on the target in my mind, and just trust what I did was right and let it go..It's amazing how solid and straight the ball flies when you do this...Best of luck to all of you and it brings great joy to share these things with you!!

  1. you are absolutly positively wrong

  2. You have not even asked a question...  I agree with the trust issue; however, you can trust yourself all you want to, but if you arent a great golfer, it wont matter.  You can trust yourself to hit a great shot, but execution is a whole different ballgame.  And if you are taking challenges, I would love to show you that you can trust yourself all you want to, but unless you can execute under pressure, you will get beat by plenty of people.

  3. trust yourself and youll have great shots. its all mental people

  4. Spot on.

I don't see how this is an actual question since you've written down an answer, but it's well said.

Can't stress how important it is to practice a pre-shot routine. So no matter what the situation, just go through the routine and swing free.

    Fairways and greens.
