Trustworthy computer help sites?

Question

OK, my freaking pc is acting odd. Slow to load and blah blah blah. Can someone please point me in the direction of a TRUSTWORTHY computer help site that is free? I believe I've probably gotten a Virus, Trojan or something however my Virus scanner has not picked it up. I found some Windows XP tweaking guides and completed several of the tasks however this thing still acts weird. Any help?
