News Update – February 19, 2008

Mohamed Abdel Moneim Fayed came face-to-face with Lord Justice Scott Baker at the inquest into the deaths of his son Dodi and Diana, Princess of Wales, yesterday. Marking the climax of his efforts to convince the world and a jury of the truth of allegations he tore into the British establishment.

Mr Al Fayed, 75, has spent 10 years trying to prove that his son Dodi and Princess Diana were killed in an assaniation orchestrated by British Intelligence on the orders of senior members of the royal household.

Nor did he understate his case. It was not a murder but a "slaughter", he raged. Diana and Dodi were the victims of "terrorists ... gangsters" who just happened to include some of the most prominent figures in the British establishment, he said.

  1. Al Fayed will never admit he employed a drunk driver who killed his son and Diana. He's a total crank.

He thinks the British Government operates like his former home, Egypt. It's an insult to British integrity.

  2. Di's death was tragic...but not a surprise??

  3. She was not murdered.

She chose to get into a car to be driven at speed, at night, through unfamiliar streets by a man clearly under the influence of something. She chose not to wear a seatbelt so if anyone is to blame it is diana herself.

  4. Diana who?

  5. no you idiot he hasn't she was killed by her drunken chauffeur in an accident caused by him that is the answer

  6. most people believe she was murdered and MI5 did it,it will never be proven, but for what its worth we know

  7. I'm sorry but surely if Al Fayed thinks that Diana and Dodi were 'slaughtered' buy 'terrorists and gansters' and he also believes that the 'assassination' was ordered by senior Royals, then is he not guilty of treason?

This man undoubtedly loved his son and I do not disbute that but he needs to waken up and realise there was no conspiracy, that they died in an accident nothing more. he needs to lay his son's memory to rest and get on with his life.

  8. No it was an accident waiting to happen.

Al Fayed is still grieving his only son so he has to blame somebody. I think he hoped Diana and Dodi were engaged  and maybe that would give him an edge for Harrods

  9. who cares apart from you and Al Fayed

  10. Other then the fact she died in a car crash, we will never know what really went on 'behind the scenes'.

Why are you asking so many questions about Diana anyway? You seem a little obsessed.

  11. To be honest, I've had enough of it. I couldn't really give a toss now. Didn't give much of one at the time either.

  12. The Duke Of Edinburgh should have been called to the Stand or given their evidence by VideoLink.
