Try out result question?

I'm in the 7th grade and we have had volleyball tryouts sence the second day of school. Today we found out what team we made. A or B. I made B team. During try outs I was in the top 5 people. I'm on a select club team too. I'm one of the best middle hitters trying out. Can you think of a reason I didn't make A?? Everyone is sayin I should have Made A

it might also be that he wants a good player on the b team...or the coach did not see you at your best...i reccommend doing your hardest at every practice and game! im sure if you prove yourself he WILL promote you. also you have to wait things out...or take what you have and make the best of it! being on the "B" team might allow more playing time. and if you love being out on the court and playing you'll agree!!! but whatever happens i hope you have an awesome season! =]

I'm a high school volleyball coach, and i can tell you from experience that your coach looks at a lot of different things when deciding who is on what team.

Attitude, team work, are you teachable. Remember all of this and keep playing your best. You will get moved up when the timing is right. Don't waste your time wondering why why why. Go out and work hard every practice and be a positive team player.

this happen to me to i was the best middle hitter and got on b not a because the coach did not see me hit or block ... this is c**p

Well, if you looked bad while the coach was watching, that may be the case, but another thing is that it's only 7th grade and coach may not take it as seriously about placement as other higher level coaches and grade levels would.  Just do your best in games and practice and I'm sure your coach will boost you up if you really desire that.  Talk to the coach too.

One explanation could be: "A" means "average" and "B" means "Best"... anyway, it is not a big deal which team you are on at 7th grade.

Maybe team B is for 6th and 7th graders, and team A is for 8th graders.

If both teams A and B can go out and grab first place against other school teams, you would be amazed how smart your coach is.

The teams are the same as mine,and we started tryouts the second day of school too.

Anyway,

Stop thinking "I should of made A team"

and practice on what needs inprovement.

Last year i made C team and I thought i should of made A team.Turns out that the A team players were alot better than me.So i decided to practice every day.

Do not worry about it.  It does not matter where you start the season, it matters where you end the season.  Work hard and your talent will show and you will end the season where you want to end up.
