  1. You can try to go to the library and check out some of the Parelli books or you can go to Books-a-Million or Barnes & Noble or some book store like that and buy them. I however have went into a books-a-milloion before and not had the money to buy the book so I just sat down in the store and read as much as I could. They have chairs everywhere in there so maybe you can try that!

Good Luck! Hope I've helped alittle

  2. You can't do Parelli without spending money. everything of his cost tons and without spending the money you won't really be getting the right information about it. I would just skip Parelli and try someone cheaper whose more interested in actually helping you and your horse than making a buck. Someone else to consider is Clinton Anderson or John Lyons if you want to go that natural horsemanship route.

  3. I myself went to a parelli clinic and i was impressed however, he just spends alot of time with horses and knows them well.

  4. they also do show on tv for thirty minutes sometimes I understand about not having to order it... its way  expensive!

  5. If you're interested in Parelli, you should look Clinton Anderson up too. His website is only $19.99/mo and you have access to all of his tv shows to show you what to do. Sorry this doesn't directly answer your question but I thought you may be interested!

  6. If you would like to get an idea of what Parelli is about, you can go to http://horseandcountry.opusstream.net/Ho...

to watch some of their RFD-TV shows. Or go to YouTube and search for Parelli videos.

Yahoo has several Parelli groups, if you go to one of them and post that you are looking for someone to help you learn the games, and more about Parelli in general, you will probably find that someone will offer to help you. Maybe you will find someone in your area.

You will find that PNH people are very generous with their time and also generous about loaning DVDs and books.

Parelli and Clinton Anderson are comparable in price for their information and tools. Clinton Anderson once studied with Pat Parelli, so the methods are similar with Parelli being much more in depth about horse behavior and psychology. The original Parelli home study course is designed to help you step by step learn how to feel, think, act, and play like a horse.

If you would like to see a good example the type of relationship you can build with your horse, watch this  video featuring a Parelli instructor. There are many students doing things like this every day. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ow2yDdRK_...

  7. Here's some info on parelli, check out this site.

That's a good idea Banks had to check your library.  The book is called Natural Horsemanship I think.  Most libraries have on online catalog you could take a look at.  If that works, free is good!  That's only to look at the book though and get the idea.  Everything else is expensive.

Lots of people don't agree with his methods (maybe you do, each to her own).  In fact, one of the problems is the expense of using him.  I prefer Clinton Anderson myself.  Have you checked him out?

Add: Just checked my local library and they have it there.
