So the Count finally leaves the city, crosses over the frozen lake again and ends up in a small village. He buys a donkey and lots of salt. He buys himself a home in the village and everyday he goes to the market to sell his salt. He makes a huge profit from the salt so he sells it daily.

One day, the donkey was really tired and didn't want to carry the bags salt all the way to the market, so it jumped into a pond. The salt in the bags all dissolved away and the Count grew very mad at his donkey. Everyday it would jump in the pond to dissolve the salt, and make his load lighter, and the Count could never pull the donkey out of the pond. So one day the count wanted to teach the donkey a lesson and filled up the bags as usual, but when the donkey went into the water, his load only got heavier...

What did the count put in the bag on the donkey's back to teach it a lesson?

It's a grain material.
