Trying To Conceive.. ?

Question

The first day of Ovulation for me is Sept. 2. Should we have s*x on the 2nd and the next 3 days?? Or is it the day before ovulation.

Do ovulation tests work?

ovulation test do work, well ovulation tests determines the best 2 days to conceive, it determines it by a LH surge which happens before  you actually ovulate. so i assume you are suppose to have s*x before you ovulate.

When you are ovulating, try having s*x only once a day... if even that.  The male needs to have enough time to save up enough sperm to fertilize your ovum.  Make sure he is not taking hot baths, wearing tight underwear, or masturbating at all.  He should drink about 300mg of caffeine close to 2 hours before s*x-- this helps sperm get to the egg, believe it or not!  Ovulation tests measure a bracket of time that suggests when your ovum is in position to accept sperm... however, since that is just a suggestion, you can't DEPEND solely on it.  Instead, when having s*x, remember to leave the ejaculate for an hour or so, with your hips elevated on a pillow, etc.  Sperm can fertilize an egg from anywhere between 10minutes to 72hrs after s*x-- so conception is just a waiting process.  Have fun!

Try every other day for the week coming up to 9/2.  My doctor actually said every other day from day 10 to day 20 of your cycle.  That way, if you ovulate slightly early or slightly late, you will still end up having s*x within the time frame.  As the egg only lasts for about 12 hours after ovulation, s*x the three days after really wont do you any good.  Sperm can live in you for up to 5 days waiting for the egg to be released though, so you want to be trying coming up to the day you ovulate.

why not just start 2 days before and keep having s*x throughout the week?

have s*x on the 1st up until 4th to make sure sperm stays in the body for 5 days so you could concieve 5 days after x

My husband did for the week of, so 2 days before the three days of and 2 days after. But sperm can live inside you for 48 hours so not necessary for everyday, but we did cause we really wanted to have a baby. I was pregnant after two months of doing this.

i would if i was u is after ur cycle i would have s*x every other day or every day for a week and a half or ever how long the best thing to do is not to worry about it and just not try bc when u try thats when a lot of people have a hard time bc the worry to much the best thing is just do u normal stuff relax and when the time comes it will happen good luck
