Question:

Trying out LSD?

My friend is determined to try out LSD but I don't know if it's a good idea. Could people give me some of the arguments for and against?

Specific reference to physical effects on the body would be great too.

Thanks.

  1. You won't die, or get addicted, and doing it for the lulz outweighs all other arguments.

  2. Tell your friend to find other recreation fun, insted of drugs

LSD was the thing of the 70" but now you don't know what is out there Beware, it may have secondary affect !!!!!!i if you want to see colours in the sky, and flying pink cats, or ruby's in the sky, buy a pair of  3D glasses and you will see the all the same things.

Be samart say no to Drugs !!!!!!!!

  3. Your brain stem bleeds onto the spinal cord thats what makes you hallucinate.  The long term effects are disatorous.  My friend did it along time ago and ate rocks and all his teeth fell out.  It was very sad.  Read the play "ADDICT"  you will get tons of information from that.

    SAY NO TO DRUGS

  4. For: people do drugs because they are good fun. LSD will take you on a trip, a new way of seeing things and will change your perception of the world. It will be a profound experience

Against: You may have a bad trip, you may freak out. Iy might be very scarey. You can have flashbacks months and maybe years later. You loose inhibition and take stupid risk

If you are going to do it be safe. Eat well for a good couple of weeks before, lots of fruit lots of water, be in good shape physically. Also be relaxed and in a place you know well where you feel safe and secure and with people you trust (really trust)

Psychologically, LSD overloads the brainstem — the sensory switchboard for the mind — causing illusions or pseudo-hallucinations (experiences that can't be classified as real hallucinations), poor judgment, and even sensory crossover — for example, seeing smells or smelling colors. Be prepared for this to happen, if it is likely to scare you don't do it. If you are okay about experiencing this then it can be fun.

If you have any history of pychological illness DO NOT do LSD. Put it off if you have had a bad day or are feeling down. If either of you freaks agree that the other MUST get help fro parents etc

Kbbcoop is correct - it can last ages, make sure you have time to come down before mum or dad get home. You might want some weed to help with this.

  5. if they have "issues"...it's a no no...

  6. tell your friend not to do it!   But I know it can near impossible to stop someone from doing drugs once they decide they want to experience the "thrill".  a friend of mine tried LSD in college and went on several strange, wonderful, and scary "trips".  this was over 10 years ago and he still has the flashbacks.  he has always seemed like a slightly different version of himself since then...like part of him got lost.  he hasn't been able to hold a job for more than 9 months and he never finished school.  and i only mention school because he keeps going back to try, but can't stay focused on it (no, it's not ADD).

  7. dont do it. i tried it when I was 21 years old, and the problem with it I found was it lasts too long. When you want to go to sleep it isnt possible cause your brain is frying. I did it only once, so I say don't bother..

  8. Burns a hole in your brain too.

Do peyote instead, but look into it and be careful about the amount you take and ingest it instead of smoking it.

Peyote is a cactus that you eat that's like acid accept less edgy, doesn't really s***w with your senses as much, and doesn't give you flashbacks.  If you're not careless with it, it's pretty safe.  5 buttons provide an "effective" high.  Some people are know to take as many as a baker's dozen, but don't do that until you've had experience and know everything you can about it.

It produces strong physical, visual, and perceptual hallucinations and users may feel hot and cold sensations while having new and unusual thinking processes without the inconvenience of rotting your brain.  Researchers found it provides no long-term cognitive effect.  On the psychological front, Native American peyote users were actually in better shape emotionally than those who didn't use the drug.

Of an estimated 180,000 ingestions, there were only 5 reported incidences of negative reactions.  This works out to about one bad trip in 70,000.  Anxiety is almost a universal side effect for the inexperienced user. It is not being caused directly by the mescaline, but by your apprehension of taking it. Great site.  Make sure to get your friend into looking all of it if she's interested

Some experts believe that proper use of one psychoactive substance, such as peyote, within a spiritual or clinical context helps to free an individual from the adverse effects of their addiction to another substance and thus restores them as functioning members of their community or group.

If you use it correctly and with the right dose,

It can make you a bit queasy and stuff, but nothing weed can't fix.

Remember to look up as much as you can about a drug before using it!

  9. dont do it

  10. My Grandfathers best friend thought he could fly , and jumped out of a 7 story window ? no joke!

  11. http://www.nida.nih.gov/Infofacts/LSD.ht...

Check out this web site.It will tell you everything you need to know. There is some scary stuff that happens to you when you do LSD.DO NOT DO IT!

  12. I personally think that LSD is something that everyone should experience at least once in their lives.

LSD is taken orally.  Gelatin and liquid can be put in the eyes. The physical effects include dilated pupils, higher body temperature, increased heart rate and blood pressure, sweating, loss of appetite, sleeplessness, dry mouth, and tremors and those are only the short-term causes. Some long-term causes are flashbacks, recurrence of certain aspects of a person's experience without the user having taken the drug again. LSD is not the type of drug that you can get addicted to because it doesn’t produce compulsive drug-seeking behavior like cocaine, amphetamines, heroin, alcohol, or nicotine

  13. its pya boss kidda

    wanna buy some ?

  14. Thats just a dumb idea! If you dont think its a good idea, follow that gut instinct! Its never smart to try out drugs. People do really stupid stuff on LSD, Do you or your friend want to be a statistic?

  15. You know, I think just about everyone should try it once. it is a door to a strange universe.

your friend will probably still try it whether you counsel for or against, so the safe thing is to take it with people who have had it before and in a place where she will feel safe and undisturbed for a minimum of 6 hours.

but having said that, arguments against are:

it can all go kind of haywire and people may try to freak her out or take advantage of her condition, also a trip can go on for a long time and you just get tired of it & want it to be over and done with..

  16. On the plus side: it's a great drug, not addictive, gives you a whole new way to see the day. On the negative side; there IS no acid; Rosen's gone; Owlsley's gone, and they're peddling all kinds of garbage as acid. If you didn't catch it in the 60s, 70s, you missed out.

  17. Carry Grant claimed it helped him tremendously in middle age, taking it hundreds of times.

Esther Williams also went to the same clinic that helped Grant and spoke well of her LSD use.

(Just to put fourth two very grounded personalities who liked it.)

So maybe it depends upon both the person (their personality and biochemistry) and the environment they take it and dedication of user and helper.
