I need some tips on how to motivate myself. It was actually my new years resolution but it's very VERY hard for me. My family eats alot of meat so I'm pretty used to it, so how do I slowly cut down on meat? Also what are some dishes I could try?

  1. how about veganism?

all the food that is made to feed the animals, could already feed the starving children around the world. number one polluter is meat and dairy production, transport is number two. half of the fresh water is used for animals. think of the droughts and dehydrated children!

it was hard to give up on cheese and chocolate. I still eat white chocolate cause its made out of cocoa butter, unlike cocoa beans that are bitter and then they need to fill the chocolate with sugar which isnt good for your teeth and you gain fat more quickly.

vegetarianism wont save animals from abuse. veganism does and it also saves water and food, so you can easly do something for starvation and it doesnt pollutes air. and luckily there is calcium in plants, so there's no worries about the milk and bones thing.

the only issue is taste, so learn how to use spice or make a good sauce!

  3. i am a veggetarian .frist think you are a cow then some one kills you. then your fried and eaten up . then see that meat then think how that poor thing lost its life. then every day you will hate meat and eat vegetarian thing after one year you will have habit to not to eat meat. did you now abrama lincon the us president was a vegetarian.try some indian foods

  4. I am also trying to become a vegetarian so I know what you are going through. When I have problems I just think of the animal alive.

  5. being a vegetarian isn't so bad. I've been one all my life and I've never missed meat. However, once you love meat it's kind of hard to stop eating it. Try some subsitutes -- such as soy protein and such. If you like that, maybe you won't miss it as much. It's healthier too.
