Trying to book a trip - but running into walls! Please help!?

I am trying to book a trip to Cancun for a friends bachelorette party. We have 8 people, four from Dallas, and the other four are from four other different Cities. We need to get all inclusive trips booked to the same hotel, with only two rooms. (I know already sounds like an awful math problem). Travel agents are telling us that we will have to book the flights our selves, and then book the hotel through them, which is ending up costing $400 more than our original maximum budget was. Does anyone have any ideas on how to book a trip like this? Please help. Thanks.

  1. iA travel agent should help you book an all-inclusive resort which should include your air.I have never booked any other way.The Rui as a nice place to stay.Booking this way is the most economical.I would call another travel agent.I think you got a lazy agent. They don't make any money off airline tickets but they do on everything else. We did the exact same thing one year ago for my sons wedding in cancun.Stayed at the Palace. It is beautiful but a little pricier. Most resorts are really nice. Find a travel agent you can trust. Good Luck

  2. Maybe you could try an national vacation package seller like apple vacations. And if they can't help and you mean it's $400 more per person then maybe you should look at flying the other four to one hub and book all the tickets from there. As it might be cheaper to book a domestic flight to a hub than an international flight to Cancun.

I'd try different travel agents as this doesn't sound like that big of a deal to me. At worst, book all 8 from Dallas and have the other 4 fly there first.

  3. If you have questions about the real Cancun call 1-888-862-3806 for help booking rooms and all.

They will give you ideas for fun too like:

Definately the Swim with Dolphins, this is fantastic especially if you go to Dolphin Discovery on Isla Mujeres, as you have a 40 minute boat ride there and back with open bar and entertainment.

The Captain Hook Pirate ships are another fun thing to try.

A Jungle tour through the mangroves, with snorkelling over the Coral reefs.

If you´re into diving, then Call Ben Mooney at http://www.mayanaquadive.com as he knows some great dive sites.

Xcaret is a wonderful day out, as you get to enjoy an ecopark, with dolphins, turtles ect and then get to watch probably the best show in the whole of Mexico at night.

A catamaran trip with http://www.cancuncatamarans.com is a must, a day sailing and snorkeling, with buffet lunch on Isla Mujeres, open bar, a shopping trip and the chance to have your picture taken holding a live shark.

At night, try the Cancun Party Hopper, there are now 2 different versions going to different bars, and they are great fun.

    Car rental at http://www.cancuncar.com

    Hope this helps.

  4. Okay I was looking at the departure from Dallas but I'll need to know where exactly are the other four coming from, maybe you can meet up somewhere if thats what you require to fly together.  Email me at dbealle79@yahoo.com, let me know the info on the cities of departure even though its different, the date when you like to take this trip and let me know whats you're budget and I'll do my best to find you the best deal. By the way my  name is Duana and Im a Certified Travel Agent. I do my best to make my clients happy and if you like contact me and I'll see what I can do for you all.

  5. That sounds ridiculous to me. In today's day and age with the internet at your disposal, I say ditch the travel agent who doesn't seem to want to do a little leg work and do it yourself.

I have booked trips, from multiple cities to Cancun before and with no problem. I recommend you try vacmart.com if you want to try a smaller outfit, or Travelocity for a better known name:

    http://leisure.travelocity.com/Promotion...

Part of the challenge may be finding a resort that can accommdate your group. I recommend you look into booking a room, a suite perhaps at the Riu Cancun. The rooms there are large enough to host four persons and the hotel is fantastic. Not only are there several great restaurants on site, but the resort is in close proximity, walking distance to the Party Center. This is where most of Cancun's famous nightlife is located. For other hotels, check out:

    NH Krystal

    Sunset Royal

    Barcelo Tucancun

    Park Royal

    Gran Melia

    Marriott CasaMagna

Have fun planning your Cancun party,

  6. That is crazy! Find a local travel agent that you can work with (in person)...they should want to work for the commission...

Someone mentioned Apple Vacations (which uses charter flights) they should certainly be able to help you.

Gosh...maybe this is an idea for a future job...

  7. Southwest airways, and a cheap motel

  8. What you might have to do is book the 4 people from Dallas air and the 2 rooms. The other 4 book the airfare separate. See how that comes out.

You are booking only 2 rooms, that is the real problem. But keep trying.

See if Apple Vacations can help you.

    Phone # 1-800-517-2000

    website http://www.applevacations.com

    good luck)

  9. Try my travel agent. Linda Meara. I have used her for my last few Cancun trips and she has always come through for me. Linda@Vonwoo.com  She has always been willing to go the extra mile for us.
