Trying to build muscle and running?

hey im trying to build up muscle and i have been eating a lot and lifting weights. but im really avoiding getting too much belly fat. some people say running burns muscle so if im trying to bulk up should i not run? or is that a myth?

  1. before running burns muscle your body would have already burnt all the carbs and stored energy in your body. the first answer is also correct. for muscle to be burnt when running you would have to be starving. muscle is added to your body when you run.

    no myth. just someone being stupid.


  2. Running only burns muscle if you are literally starving yourself.  It doesn't build bulk, but it does not burn muscle.
