Florida Coastal vs. Thomas Jefferson?

Does anyone have any opinions about these schools. Florida Coastal intrigues me b/c of their center for sports law & their carribean initiative. Thomas Jefferson offers a strong legal writing program, and also has interesting study abroad opportunities.

Flordia is a for-profit & Thomas is non-profit.

Any opinions or thoughts would be greatly appreciate

  1. Don't know much about those two schools: pick the one you where you can make law review.

  2. There are a lot of good books out there. It sounds like you have already done some research.  I would suggest getting the ABA book that is published each year; it provides a nice brief synopsis of each ABA approved school.  Try visiting the schools.  Good things to ask the admissions would be: Job placement %, first time test takers bar passage rate, where the school traditionally places its students (public or private), and clinical oppurtunities.  These are some things that you may want to know before making your decision.

  3. Please can I suggest that you choose an entirely different, more principled and socially positive career instead of becoming a lawyer?
