Does ANYONE have any suggestions on a good domain name for a photography biz? We want a generic but catchy name, that doesn't limit us to any certain type of photography, in other words 'weddingspportraits' doesnt work, because we also do real estate, products photos, etc

We thought of MiragePhoto.com but they want 1500.00 as its a premium domain, im not opposed to spending money on a super nice domain... Something Elegant or that can pass for elegant, so nothing too trendy like iPhotograhy.com or something.

We also dont plan to use anyone of our photographers NAMES, ANY SUGGESTIONS For what other words you can use as prefixs/postfixes for photo, photography, etc?

Like "Pro" then "photo.com" , obviously this is taken. If anyone has cool suggestions, you can check the availability at www.GWDHost.com , but dont register it, LOL ! So dont get our hopes up with any idea, thats already taken... though it's ok to send us words that are really cool/photography like, such as 'infinity, exposure, glass, prime etc. "

We've been at this for days, hopefully looking for your reply.

  1. Your domain name doesn't have to be .com.  It can be .net, .us, .biz, or whatever is available.

  2. maybe picchurn.com.

    or pichurn.com.

    sounds cool to me. :]

    good luck with your website!

    :]

  3. Think of your passions, personality traits, religion, region, ect. That's how I came up with my name, Southern Faith Photography. This is composed of my region, my religion, and my passion. It takes time to come up with a good name. It took me nearly two months just to come up with my name.

Also you say they want 1500 for MiragePhoto.com? If you meen the website your trying to get a domain name from, that's a scandle. Go to http://joker.com . It's only 12 bucks a year, for any available domain name. But if your talking about somethind else then disregard what I said.

    Good luck.

  4. SnapDragon is probably too odd, huh?

  5. You could try incorporating your name +photo into the domain. Besides being cool, it also gives you some identity associated with your name and will help potential clients remember who you are too.

  6. :( I came up with beyondthelens.com but it seems to be taken.

Try working with lens lenscapture.com etc.

Or maybe something like instillonpaper.com if you do prints.

    Good Luck!
