I started taking birth control pills for 10 years. I have been off the pill now for 1 1/2 years. I have tried to get pregnant last year and no luck. I started to use a fertility monitor to track my period ovulation days. We have tried every other day and every day to get pregnant. Well still not pregnant. Just in the last couple months my periods started to be irregular a little bit My periods were 32 days and now its 29 days. But I start spotting for a couple days and then it gets heavy and then 5 days it gone.

I have no idea to what to do I am going to be 32 years old I don't want to wait too long for a baby?

  1. Time to see a doctor and get some help.

  2. You should really see a doctor.

Because they can help get your cycle on track and also do some tests as to why you haven't got pregnant in a yr. But keep in mind only 80% of couple will get pregnant in 12 months and 90% in 18months.

  3. My doctor told me that the length of time you've been on birth control may not necessarily effect the amount of time it takes you to get pregnant. Because your period is not totally consistent I highly receommend using ovulation kits. Don't buy them in the stores - they are way over priced! Check out Amazon.com.

I know it's frustrating but try to stay positive and don't let it take over your life... I was on birthcontrol for 8 years and I am 29. My husband and I have been trying for almost a year. I have definately gone through the ups and WAY downs, but you just can't keep living that way. I have a lot of friends who tried for over a year and finally got pregnant when they "let go" a little. I would also pick up a book or two. And if you can see your doctor. Hugs and baby dust to you - I'll cross my fingers for you, if you cross yours for me. =) Good Luck.

  4. You seem to young to be having such a difficult time getting pregnant.

And since you are having such an abnormal period, I would suggest that you go and see your doctor so you guys can talk about the problems that you seem to be having and as well as other conception ideas and options.

    Good luck and *Baby Dust*
