Hello All,

We have been married for 6.5 years now..I got pregnant very early in the marriage and since we were not ready, I went for a D & C..Now we have been trying for the past 3 months without any luck..My periods are normal..I am healthy and so is my husband(we have never been on medication..)

But I am really worried...I am thinking of consulting fertility specialist but my husband thinks it is too early..Pl let me know if you have been in similar situation or with your suggestions..

thanks a ton.

  1. Generally 3 months is too early to see a fertility specialist, unless there are obvious signs of a problem (eg you show signs of thyroid disease, you have extremely heavy bleeding, you have long cycles over 35 days or you have very short cycles less than 25 days).

It's quite likely that a fertility specialist would ask you to chart your temperatures or use a fertility monitor/OPK's to confirm whether you are ovulating.    If you are worried, you may like to start using some of these methods so that if you don't fall pregnant over the next few months you have some solid data to present to your doctor.

  2. You should try herbal supplements and do a body cleanses. go to biotanical health dot com.. it really works

  3. I say give it some more time. 3 months is a little early. I would start thinking about going around 9 months sometimes it just takes time.

  4. If you were on birth control all those years and have just now gotten off and have been trying for the past 3 months, then it is way to early to go see a specialist.  Most couples need 6 months to 1 year to conceive.

Relax, have fun and wait a year.

  5. unless you are in an advanced age (35+) than I don't think you need to see a specialist especially if you've been having regular pap smears.
