Trying to connect my pc to my tv using a dvi to hdmi cable...?

Part of the dvi port on my pc has a cross shaped connection next to the little dots. The only dvi to hdmi cables i can find have just a horizontal connection. My display on the tv looks slightly blurred and there is a light flickering going on. Where do i find this cable or is there something else i can try to make the display more clear. My tv is a newer HD Phillips tube tv.

  1. The one with the horizontal only will work just fine.

The cross means it is an integrated DVI (analog and digital).

TVs, support digital DVI only (the horizontal only).

So, just get any DVI to HDMI cable or adaptor.

Make sure you set the PC to the correct resolution that matches your TV.

  2. I use one of those cables that have about two or three connections on one end and are usually red, black, etc. I use just for sound though.  If you want more than that go to pc-richard or best buy, they do know their stuff.
