In about a month I'm going to get my license and a car, but I', torn between those three vehicles. If anyone could tell me some advantages and disadvantages of any of the three cars, I would greatly appreciate it.. of if you've driven any of these cars before, and could share some of your experiences with it, that would also be helpful. Thanks!

  1. Well if you need a truck for any reason then the tundra would be your best choice but as for the other cars if your high school was anything like mine your going to pull your nice mustang in thinking you have the best car in the school and then when you park its going to be between....... two mustangs yay lol. Charger R/t it really nice. not really sure about the AWD but all decent cars.

  2. well i personally would pick the Mustang GT. Dodge charger is pretty much a mustang knockoff. not talking bad i love the charger too and i want one. If you are going to be hauling alot of stuff take the tundra. Like i said i personally like the Mustang best, but you know what they say, Different strokes for different folks.

  3. Depends what you want.  None of them compete against each other.  Do you want a full size truck, pony car, or full size sedan?

Trucks - Tundra, Silverado/Serria, Ram, F150, Titan.  Silverado and Serria are the best.

Pony car - Mustang, Camaro (next year), Challenger.  V6 Mustang is probably the best for a teen.

Full size sedan - Charger/300 (same platform as the Challenger), G8 (same platform as the Camaro), Crown Vic, Taurus.  The G8 is the best of these.

  4. Compare gas mileage for each, and spend the money for a consumer reports subscription because you can look up customer satisfaction info as well as any problems known to the specific vehicle.  Toyota is known for keeping a high resale value, the mustang and charger are more for show - as long as the fuel consumption is reasonable, I would go for a 'slightly' used tundra.  Don't waste your money on a brand new car or truck because you can find close to new with low miles and spend about 1/3 less for a vehicle that still carries a warranty.  Let the first buyer take the hit on that initial loss when they drove it off the lot for 20K and as soon as they got on the street the value dropped to 15K!  :)  Best of luck and enjoy whatever you choose!

  5. Toyota, good for gas (most of the time)

Mustang, best kind of car (own a '99 and have NEVER had problems with it as long as you keep up with tune ups)

Dodge ok vehicle (never trusted dodge after my '01 ram's transmission messed up)

My personal opinion would be either the Tundra or GT although a GT would waste more gas than a regular Stang. I'm guessing for a long lasting car, Mustang(V6)...because it would waste less gas than a truck and is tough, not to mention the style (1999-2008)
