Question:

Trying to decide what appliances to get?

I'm getting ready to build a new home and I'm scheduled with a designer next week. I've decided to go with more of a professional kitchen... I've decided on the 42 inch cupboards and for the countertops I'm thinking granite or silestone. My biggest concern now is what appliances to get.

I really want to get the stainless steel, but I'm worried that it won't look good. So I found stainless look, but the company building my house don't offer that as an option and won't give any credit for not doing the appliances. I have a coffee pot and an outdoor grill that are stainless and I have bought various cleaners and tried several things, but they always seem to be dull, or show streaks, which concerns me.

I have pets, so I don't want black, nor do I think it looks as good and I know I don't want white, are stainless appliances able to be kept up so they look nice, or are they a nightmare? I was told stainless is only good in models by a realtor.

Thanks so much

  1. bit of baby oil will keep stainless steel shiny

  2. Since you already have coffee pot and outgrill that are stainless, it wouldnt hurt if you get stainless for your kitchen. Any appliances need to be kept up to look great.

    Hope this helps you
