Trying to dial "00" to go overseas to aus but...?

when I type in 00 it wont even finish the rest of the number..it automatically takes me to my service provider for my phone like I need a operator.. how do I bypass this.......

  1. What country are you calling FROM?      It sounds as though you might be in the U.S. or Canada, in which case the international prefix you need to dial is 011.  

    The 00 prefix is for international from many European countries.  In North America it is intended to connect you to an operator.

  2. Yep..It's '011' first, then the country code, and the number.!!

  3. when you dial "00" you might not have a direct long distance call.

    But you can  used prepaid phone card that way you can call.

    dial 1800 number then enter the pin number then still you dial 011 + 61 +Area Code+ Tel #
