So I'm trying to lose some weight. I am currently 5'3" and I weigh 158 pounds. I'd like to hear anything on the best ways to lose some weight. I'm not sure on how much to lose because I'm not exactly sure on how 1 pound will look off of me, but I guess I'll keep going until I am satisfied. I'm not really worried on how long it will take.

My current diet, I don't drink soda, eat junk food, fast food, ect. I drop that about 3 years ago. Since I eat healthy I decided I should start exercising.

What are some good exercises to do or you could add some ways on how you lost weight. I'm not really looking for any links to any site.

Thank you.

  1. personally i think you look fine the way you are! but i would suggest doing sit ups..to tone out your abdominal muscles..or any other type of abdominal exersise.. Walking is also great and easy to do. Make sure you drink plenty of water..water also helps aid in weigh loss.I know is sounds like a lot..but you should try to eat lots of fruits and vegetables...and have 6 small meals..make dinner your smallest meal of the day. Also, if you buy canned vegetables make sure they are sodium free or if not rinse them off before you eat them. I am on a medical supervised diet right now..they recommend no more then 1200 calories, 20g fat and 2000mg of sodium daily. I thought i was eating healthy before until i started looking into the sodium content of some foods.

  2. Eat more fruits and veggies ... drink more water (wonderful for the skin too) ... try to reduce fat from your food (in general)

there are lots of exercises you can do .... I recommend running in the morning for 30 minutes .. you can do some crunches .. donkey kick , explosive jump .. .bridge , push ups .. and a lot more

I know u didn't want any links .. but I hope you visit my blog http://flat-stomach-tummy.blogspot.com

  3. I eat about 5 really small healthy meals a day and work out on the eliptical for about 30 minutes. That seems to keep me pretty trim so i would reccomend that. Also, yoga and pilates are really great for balancing out chubby areas. 1 day a week, probably 1 that you aren't very busy, fast from everything except water. do very light excersises that day and swim 3-5 days a week.

  4. Well done for binning the junk food. Avoiding such high-fat/sugar foods is essential in successful weight loss.

My advice is to exercise lots; i'm talking cardio - running, rowing, kickboxing. These are great sports for sheding the lbs.

Also eat more fruit and vegetables, whose high water and fibre content will make you feel full, preventing the dreaded snack attack.

Small portion size is also essential! Good luck - and don't go overboard. You don't need to lose much at all.

  5. If you want to lose weight, the key is to burn more calories than you take in. to do that, exercise and a healthy diet are the things you need to do. For a healthy diet, you should be eating 6 small meals a day. A breakfast, morning snack, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, and a dessert. When you have 6 meals a day it keeps your metabolism up and is actually healthier to eat more. But, the meals should be mostly healthy, but for dessert give yourself a nice treat every once in a while. For exercise, you need to make sure you don’t overdue it. A good exercise I enjoy doing is Pilates for weight lose. You can buy that DVD at target. It works great. Also, you can run, power walk, do crunches, sit-ups, a sport, swim, an exercise ball and just having your heart pumping and making u sweat is when u no the workout is working. You can even walk to get your mail at your mailbox, climb stairs, and even walk from room to room and it is a workout.  Keep doing this and you will see results. Also, if you want to build muscle lift weights. But just remember that muscle weighs more than bone so if u get rid of fat and end up getting muscle, you will gain more but still look good! Hope I helped!!! Thx! (:

  6. If your nutrition is on point adding exercise will assist.  You want to build muscle to help with the weight loss, check out these sites.  They will help whether you have access to a gym or not.

Remember to get some cardio after any type of strength training exercises and if you want to build more muscle get 1 gram of protein for every pound of body weight daily.  You may want to ease into that protein intake as for some it will cause some bloating, especially women. Begin with half and work your way up but the more muscle you build the more fat you will burn.  And calories are fuel so know how active you are and what your consumption must be to fuel all the activity.
