  1. be careful where you go... i took my mom to a four star  french restaurant for mothers day a few years ago and for five people my father paid 400.00 lol

  2. Washingtonian magazine lists the following French restaurants in its annual "Top 100" list for 2008:

    * Bastille (#58)

    * Bistro Bis (#27)

    * Cafe Du Parc (#35)

    * Citronelle (#1)

    * L'Auberge Chez Francois (#60)

    * Le Paradou (#49)

    * Marcel's (#19)

    * Montmartre (#48)

    * Montsouris (#78)

    We've only eaten at Montmartre and had a very good meal there.

  3. My favorite all time French Restaurant is Napolean Bistro.

    Reasonably price & Entertainment: Live DJs Thursday - Saturday nights in the Champagne Bar

  4. There are some good places in the Georgetown area.

    La Chaumiere on M near 29th is good.  Great service and very knowledgeable staff.  I have heard great things about the castle'.  I had the lamb which was good and we also had the escargot.  It was a little pricey and is because of the decor I think it is better to go in the winter when the have a raging fire going.

    We also really enjoy Bonaparte's on Wisconsin near P.  Reasonably priced and fun place.  They have a lot of crepe items but I have enjoyed the lamb, scallops and fillet's.  The wine list is also reasonably priced.

    Lastly on Mst there is Bistro France's.  Not bad but nothing to write home about.

    Salud!

  5. Citronelle on M St.

    Gerard Pangaud's Place on 15th St.
