Trying to find a new home after being evicted?

so bad incident happened and my friend is being evicted from her apartment......well she is trying all she can do to find a new place but she has to tell them where she is living now and why she is looking for a new place...........she has been and putting her phone number down......but this land lady is saying horrible things that dont even have to do with her eviction first off...........and i dont think that she can even say that can she??? all she should be able to say is that she paid rent on time right and if she kept the place clean?!?!? and what she got evicted for is just c**p!! please help me out so i can have an answer for her thanks!!

  1. Here's what you do.  Have her say that she has been living at a different place (never mention the apartment she is being evicted from or the land lady).  give the phone  number of a friend or family member as the current landlord as a reference and have them say she is a great tenant etc..


  2. The landlord can and should say everything that is true.

    The eviction will follow your friend for many years, it is on her credit report to warn landlords.

    She needs to start renting on the otherside of town, where credit and criminal history do not matter.

  3. i would still allow someone to live in my place if they were evicted from somewhere else but i would take a higher security deposit that would show that they know im serious and i dont like to play any games but some other places may not take someone who got evicted from a house they would see it too much as a risk
