I am coming from the U.S. and will be staying in Dublin June 14. I can't find a good place to stay in Temple Bar area so I was wondering if Dun Laoghaire is a good place to stay.

  1. have a look at these hotels .... http://www.temple-bar-hotels.com/?316340...

last time i stayed in Dublin we stayed in Jury's Croke park because we were at a hurling match that day...we just got a  taxi out to temple bar that evening,it was fine and a lovely hotel

  2. dun laoghaire is too far out - would cost a fortune in a taxi.

keep trying - keep to the dublin 2 post code if you can, but dublin 1 and dublin 2 are city centre hotels.

    try

  3. Dun Laoghaire is lovely, but its a good bit out from Temple Bar.  its a suburb of Dublin by the sea.  You would have a very  different few days staying there.  But then again it would be more relaxing than Temple Bar, so why not!

When looking for a hotel near the city centre the easiest tip is the lower the Dublin area code the closer it is to the city centre.  Temple Bar, for example, is Dublin 2.  Dun Laoghaire is in County Dublin.
