  1. The previous answer just gave a link to the public schools in the Floral School district, instead of telling you how to learn flower arranging.  I'll try to tell you something more useful.

While I suppose there are schools that will teach you anything, I think most people learn by working in florist's shop.  I have a friend who worked for years with a florist, and that is how she learned--on the job.

She wanted to learn how to do the arrangements, so she when she applied for the job (which was mostly being a cashier), she asked them to teach her.  They were very happy to do this, on the slow days.  Ultimately, they let her do the arrangements herself, and of course she was getting paid the whole time.

But if you don't want to take a job to learn how to do arranging, look for a recreational class (or adult ed class) at a local community college or evening high school.  The same kinds of places that teach cooking classes and how to repair your plumbing also sometimes have classes in flower arranging.  I would NOT spend the money on a professional flower arranging program.  It's just not worth it.

I wish you well.  Good luck!!
