Trying to find out the name of a song and group?

Question

Okay the song involved lines that went something like "I'll be here with open heart/mind or open arms." it was a sort of rocky type song (not creed btw)

the video had a short dark haired guy with those earrings that big holes in your ears, wearing just a pair of jeans and he was drawing pictures of himself in a room with the rest of the band while singing the song.

This is bugging me so any help appreciated
