I have had 3 bids from 3 different companies (Dawson, Atlas, and American) - they all use different methodology. I am confused because they all insist theirs is the best.

  1. All are good but I believe Dawson's bell bottom piers are the best.  This is the old school way of doing it but it is still the best.  The peirs they drill will be much deeper and more stable than the pressed piles.  Pressed piles are just pressed down into the soil until they meet with enough resistance to move the house up.  Over time soil conditions will change and these piles could slip.

  2. Bell bottom piers are the most expensive but guaranteed not to fail.Go with Dawson.
