Trying to get into OCS

Question

If I have smoked pot 2 times, can I still get security clearance? I am a junior in college, and I have been thinking about applying to the Army OCS. Please just tell me the answer to this question and not that I'm a "pothead."

You should have no problems.

you should have no problem... a regular secret security clearance is not hard to get. as long as you don't have any bad record on you and just be honest when you fill out the forms. plus even if you do have bad records.. it just takes longer for you to get it. normally 3-6 months.. but some people might take up to a year and a half. depending on the situation. Top Secret clearance is a different story.

Nowadays, the pot smoking won't be a prob. to go to OCS...back in my day it was an issue.  They've made it a bit easier now.
