I'm 16, female, def not overweight but trying to keep the figure in good condition. =] I'm working out at the gym a couple times a week, eating healthy, and exercising at home also. What else could i do? I'm trying to focus on the ab area. And how about protein shakes?

  1. The site below has lots of great weight loss info. including tips, printable food and exercise logs, motivational ideas, exercise plans, etc.  There's a section called "Weight Loss Shakes" that might interest you...good luck!

  2. Um, I doubt she'll want to use weights unless you mean the smaller ones to give some challenge to her workout ....I'm not saying she can't but that's not what it sounds like she wants.....and she already said she doesn't need to lose weight.

I think what your doing is perfectly fine right now.

You sound like your doing a GREAT job with yourself.

there is not much you can change at this point.

The best I think I can tell you is on the abs thing.

Pilates is what you want if your going for keeping your body slim and shaped. but if you want more then that then go for these:

Crunches(NO SIT UPS, they are bad for your back)

    Standing crunches

    Bicycle crunch

    Leg lifts

If you need a better explanation I'll be glad to help!

Protein shakes are good if you want to get/keep muscle.

They are healthy in ways that can help you in general but it might not be what YOU are looking for.

Overall I think your doing a fabulous job with yourself.

Keep up the good work! I'm sure you look great!

    :)

  3. i do Pilate's to help my abs and they've done wonders! loving the 6-pack :). protein shakes are good after you've done weight-lifting sessions. you might also wanna try 30-45 minutes or cardio too. treadmill, stair-climber, elliptical machines, or stationary bikes. eat plenty of whole-grains, fruits, veggies, lean meats, and low-fat/non-fat dairy. also good fats found in nuts, peanut butter, avocados, olive/canola oils, and fish.
