I have a ps3, acoustic solutions 22" TV and an acoustic solutions surround system. (It's cheap, I know)

So my question, is how the **** do i get them to work in unison!?! Here's the situation;

PS3 works fine with the surround system (on 2.1 level), but only if I connect the original cable to work the sound, while I can still use my HDMI cable for picture. If I choose the option to use the HDMI for sound, every time i hear a sharp sound, such as a gun shot or the like, i get a static sound in the speaker. Believe me, it gets annoying the first time.

Like I said, the TV is a fairly cheap HD. Is there anyway to connect my surround sound to it, via the preferable 5.1 surround? There's not enough slots in the TV but if theres anybody who knows how t sort that, I'll be your best friend forever.

  1. hi , you need a cd player and a wire , join as much speakers to your cd player then go into a electronic shop and get a wire to join ya PPS to your player  via aux will 4 or more speakers they will sound superb

  2. sounds like you need to change the audio output settings on the playstation to bitstream. HDMI outputs sound in linear pcm which some tvs or receivers dont understand. try switching the audio ssetting to bitstream first,  or try connecting the ps3 directly to your surround sound, via a optical audio cable .

  3. Well the HDMI should go DIRECTLY to the TV set, and your OPTICAL or Digital Coax (orange) cable would be the BEST cable to go to your Surround amp...
