  1. Have you actually met this person at a church or rectory?  Usually what churches require for baptism is that the parents be participating members of the church.  Check with a recognized church in your area and ask what is required to get your son baptized in church.  Someone there will be able to tell you what this paper is, and if it is needed. Best of luck.

  2. this is an uncommon identity theft scam.... the paper she is requesting has everything on it that one would need to steal your son's identity... once she gets the "confirmation code," your son will probably be in debt up to his nose by the time you learn about it....

this same exact thing happened to my wife and i when we got our son baptized.... this woman is not following God's plan... think about it, why would you need a "confirmation code" to get baptized? you need to go to a different church dear.

  3. Maybe she might the birth certificate number? You need the medicare in order to get that. The birth certificat is what usually churches  ask for.

I didn't baptize my son, but he had a "dedication ceremony" (I am baptist) and the church didn't ask for any papers, but like I said some friends did baptized and gave a photocopy of the birth certificat. Don't give any information that can be sue to get the Social insurance number and stuff. Never give the originals.
