Trying to go to next accidentally went to delete, could I get it back somehow? How could I?

I was checking some pictures, and on the top left I had that "previous, next, etc." I meant to go forward on the messages, but the delete blinked, and it was gone just like that, I went back as soon as possible, but now shows me the page with all former pictures with a "x" next to them with no chance to see 'em anymore I feel so dumb, but any help will be appreciated
