Trying to have a Child ?

Me and my girl of 5 years are planing on having a child but the problem is how do we go about doing it. we have looked into everything but my way of thinking is why spend a lot of money when we can do it the (Old Fashion way)! Also is it wrong to only want the guy to be involved when the child turns 18 and if it where you how would you go about the whole situation?

If you don't want to go to a sperm bank, look around at your guy friends. It's harder to find a donor you know, though. You will want to find someone who is willing to donate, and then step back. You also may want to legally protect yourself, and have him sign something before the child is born.

I am not sure how much it costs to purchase donor sperm, but I recommend it. You can usually get a health history of the donor, and his family. It's also possible to pick a donor that has features close to your partner.

I think it's great your going to have a baby together!

If your partner is OK with the fact of having a baby the "old fashion" way, then I don't think anyone can judge how the baby is conceived because it is a decision between your and your partner.

And, the guy should be ok and sign an agreement stating he does not have anything to do with the baby till the baby is an adult and wants to see the "father." I don't think there is anything wrong with that.

I think you can always opt for the old fashion way as long as you are both very clear with each other about the involvement of the third party and the third party is aware of his role in the matter.

It does take a village to raise a child

Please keep in mind the future of the baby to come and the stability of the family unit and those involved are responsible for it.
