Trying to identify an insect. Looks like a spider, but it has two front claws like a scorpion.?

Insect is about 1/2 CM long, body of a spider, front two legs have scorpion-like claws. These claws are functional. Photo available. Location: indoors, Southern CA, USA

  2. Sounds like a false scorpion or pseudoscorpion. They are arachnids, like spiders.

  3. ahh, firstly, you must tell how many legs do this thing has, my guess was the Myrmarachne plataleoides-Kerengga Ant-like Jumper, it's a spider:
