Trying to improve my gas mileage?

I own a 1999 ford escort zx2 and want to know how many miles to the gallon i can improve my car, and what is the best way to go about doing it.

  1. Build a Joe Cell...look it up.


  2. Have you tried hypermiling? Google it.

  3. Making sure to get oil changed regularly helps.  I always reset my odometer every time I fill up as well, because if I am getting less gas mileage than usual it can tell me if something is wrong.  You also get better mileage on highway driving rather than stop and go driving.   4. get an air diffuser for the back bumper. on my civic, which i normally get 30mpg, when i remove the rear bumper i get 43mpg. its aerodynamics. If its manual keep it under 3 grand when shifting and auto never gas it to hard. Babying the car will save alot of gas.
