Trying to improve my hearing?

I'm trying to improve my hearing. Its fine now but it would be excellent to hear more. Is this even possible? Are there ways to do this without getting special hearing devices?

I used to have bad hearing butt I found a few simple ways to improve it

1.when your watching TV turn the volume down 1 or 2 notches lower than you normally do.



do the same thing with anything else ex.Ipod's,mp3's ect.
