  1. something that really helped me out was laying againts the wall with my legs in a 90 degree angle like as if im sitting down, and holding that position for about 3 minutes. After a month you should see about 1-3 inches depending on you. I used to do them with weights on my lap for better results

  2. It's definitely a good workout not just for your vertical leap but of your whole health being as well. If you can, try skipping everyday! Goodluck!

  3. Increasing your vertical leap can be an a difficult task to accomplish. Skipping helps your vertical leap a LITTLE bit. It doesn't help straight away but in the long run it helps. You should focus on doing squats, air or wall. Wall squats are really challenging but help you a lot. Put your back against the wall and bend your knees while keeping your back against the wall. Also do toe raises. Lift your toes up and down until you feel the burn. These three exercises should improve your leap tremendously.

  4. Honestly?

    No it sucks.

For best results combine plyometrics with weight lifting.

  5. that's an awful workout, skipping wont do anything. Do scissor jumps, squat jumps, lunges, and work out. do three sets of twenty on squats jumps, lunges, and scissor jumps.

  6. you need to work on jump squats more than skipping.

do your skipping.. its good cardio and will keep you in shape but effects on your vertical jump? i don't think it'll help much.

    work on jump squats.

regular very high rise jump squats.

and then weighted jump squats , not too high.

do some lunges too just to keep it even. jumping is a compound exercise and will work more than just one muscle.

but jump squats would be the most beneficial.

    goodluck

  7. You might see a little gain from that if you're young, but don't get your hopes up. If increasing your vertical was that easy everyone would be jumping out of the gym. You need to develop leg strength with weight training exercises. Squats are best. There are other types of training that you can use effectively after you develop strength.
