  1. Keep a bowl or pan in the refrigerator with a stack of wash clothes in a little water. Sprinkle in a few drops of  aromatherapy oil, something light and refreshing like citrus. Take out a wash cloth, wring it out and lay it over your face, your chest, behind your neck... turn on a fan, sip a tall, cool glass of iced pregnancy tea, and beat the heat.

    Good luck, hot mama!

  2. Fans.

They also have portable cooling fans on line that aren't expensive. They use frozen bottles of water inside, so that cool air blows out.

  3. Floor fans!!!!!

Just in case that wasn't enough of a hint...

    !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!...

  4. Keep fans positioned by the open windows in order to direct the hot air out the windows.

Sleep downstairs on the couch if you prefer.  (You can have the children join you in sleeping bags if you have children.)

  5. sit by a fan, keep a cool rag around your neck, and a cold glass of water in your hand!  at night you can sleep in undies and have a fan blowing on you!!  i went through the same thing last year!!  it is definitely rough...but managable!!  Good luck!! don't overheat and keep chugging the water!!

edit---lucky is right...if you have one fan blowing air in from the windows and one fan turned around blowing air out of opposite windows....their will be a constant state of wind in the house!!

edit---i just remembered my grandma told me that when they didn't have ACs the use to put wet towels (like small handtowels not big ones) over the front of the fan (not the back it will burn up the motor) that is in the window! so when the air blows in from the window through the fan it hits the wet towel and acts almost like an airconditioner!  i have never tried it...but grandmas are almost always right....right?!?!?!  good luck!

  6. Shower right before bed to cool your body off. Buy a desk fan and point it at the bed during the night. You could also get a fan for the ground floor and point it up the stairs to help push cool air upstairs.
