Trying to learn to play guitar?

My friend just left for college and is letting me borrow one of his guitars, I'd like to put it to use but I don't know the first thing about playing! do you have any tips for how to read tabs, which song(s) aren't too hard to learn, or any websites that can help me? thanks!

Go to a guitar store or a book store and pickup a tab book.

Don't get that "Guitar For Dummies" c**p. Get a real book.

Are you wanting to play country, rock, metal, solo's etc?
