Trying to locate an old address of a deceased person?

I am trying to locate an address of an old friend that passed away in 2002. I have an obituary, but it does not list an address. I have tried white pages.com and it does not have anything since the person is deceased. Any idea on how to locate the address??? Thanks

Go to the city in which they lived, or call the local court house or archives.  Ask them to look in the directories for the fives years before they died.  They can give out that information because it's public information.
