  1. Definitely, then, as your fitness improves, you could either start extending your walk or break into a gentle run.

  2. Yes, but it would not mae a huge difference in the calories you burn. It would definitly build muscle, though. I would suggest running and walking at intervals,...walk for 10 min, run for 5, walk for 10 min, run for five. This will speed up your heat rate, wich will trigger the body to burning more calories.

  3. You would!

  4. i first would like to point out it is 'lose' not 'loose'... secondly, you would lose more weight if you carried around extra weight in a rucksack, also try increasing your heart rate, you could do this by doing mini runs on your walk like 1 or 2 minutes, and as you get fitter with practice you will soon be able to extend these runs, and after a while you'll soon be able to do the whole thing non-stop. hope this helps and good luck

  5. Its spelt Lose*

Loose is the opposite of tight.

    Yeah I guess.

  6. Of course it will help you burn a little more.

There is a list of  Calories Burned Per Hour According To Activity available  here: http://www.enlita.com/content/calories_b...

  7. You 'd burn around 250 calories in 20 mins by jogging.

You're probably burning around 90-110 calories walking depending on weight.

IF YOU REALLY WANT TO LOSE SOME WEIGHT, DO THIS.

JOG FOR 20 MINS 6 DAYS A WEEK.

DRINK ONLY WATER OR GREEN TEA.

    SWAP CRISPS ETC FOR FRUIT.

    SIMPLE.

  8. yes you would

  9. no, it is considered very bad for you nowadays, by health professionals and trainers. It is bad for your spine, bad for your joints, bad for your heart. Just jog to burn more calories and stay safe.

  10. drink green tea or chinese tea

  11. That topic is actually still up debate. It's been said that walking with extra weight throws off your natural balance causing more of a risk for injury. I don't think it would help much anyway and even if it did, it wouldn't be a lot.

You'd lose more weight if you tried to jog instead of walk. You could start a routine by walking for 5 mins, jogging for 5 mins, walking for 5 mins, etc. until you reach your goal of 30 mins. That's what I did to start and now I'm up to walking for 5, jogging for 15, and walking again for the last 10.

  12. The weight of the rucksack probably won't make that big a difference - and will annoy you more than anything.

Instead, go faster, swing your arms... get your lungs and heart going.

Try jogging too... 300 feet of walking, 50 feet of jog, and slowly increase
