I cannot get them into movie maker in their current format, and I bought them from the itunes store so can't re upload them from a CD in a different format.

  1. Songs from the iTunes Store are DRMd AAC files which won't work in Windows Movie Maker. You need to burn them to CD to remove the DRM then re import them as MP3 files. You will loose some sound quality with the re sampling to a lower quality codec but they will work on Movie maker.

  2. If you don't want to lose quality you can use Requiem, although the author has been sued and had to stop development, somebody has picked it up on Freenet (anonymous network) you can access the site by installing freenet (freenetproject.org) and going to http://127.0.0.1:8888/USK@GSQgFDoeQUG0cS...
