I am looking for some good websites on planning train travel in Europe. Looking to go from Amsterdam-Prague-Bucharest. Having trouble finding times/route times etc. I am understanding that it is best to buy on site, but need some info to plan. Any help much appreciated.

  1. There are a few websites that are helpful:

    http://www.bahn.de/p/view/international/... (German site in English)

    http://www.oebb.at/en/ (Austrian site in English)

And a site that works a different way:

    http://www.seat61.com/

This is a site for tourists that want to travel by train, world wide. It also helps you to buy the tickets.

You can also try the site from the Dutch railways, but I am always disappointed with it: http://www.nshispeed.nl/en

If with all this info you are still stuck, please mention the date you want to travel and we will try to help you further. (Yes, my e-mail option is open.)

  2. Here check that out:

    http://www.raileurope.com

    http://www.internationalrail.com/interra...

  3. For train connections to Prague check this websites:
