Trying to shoot hunting barn

Question

trying to shoot hunting barn owl at dusk ....the photos all come out too dark so cannot see the owl.We have it set on rapid fire but don't ubderstand the camera well enough to get perfection and a PROPER picture!with light! HELP!!!
