I'm just trying to update my iPod. When I plugged it into the computer it recognized the iPod and then said that it couldn't sync because the folder wasn't found. Now when I plug it in it is just totally not recognizing my iPod at all. What should I do? Thanks!

  1. i dont have an ipod but if it happened with mine id look for software. if it doesn't sense the ipod though, just put it in a different port.

  2. Open iTunes got to HELP in upper toolbar and select check for updates from the drop down window. Allow the program to update if need be. This should fix you up but if for some reason it doesn't continue with the following:

If you are running windows XP or vista - go to the MY COMPUTER icon and select CONTROL PANEL. Go to ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS hi-light iTunes and select REPAIR. If this doesn't correct uninstall and reinstall iTunes but make sure you save your iTunes music folder to another location just to be on the safe side!! Hope this helps!!

With the new iPhone out there are alot of updates flying around and there are some glitches in the system.  Mine says it can't sync but then it does,  Just program glitches that should be worked out with next few updates
