Trying to talk to a boy ; please help?

hey everybody ! there's this boy i used to go to school with and he used to give me looks last year but never really said anything to me . how can i start talking to him ? or get him to start talking to me ? we never spoke and i am going into my second year of high school ,

I used to have a problem similar to yours.

Seeing as you dont have classes together and no time to talk at like lockers or anything, next time you walk past him... just give him a friendly smile, and a "Heeey" (:  .

Now I'm the shy type who wont go up to a bunch of guys a year older than me.. but if you feel comfortable doing that, try a "Hey how are you, have a good Summer?"

If not,stick to the smile and "Hey".

Also, if you can get his AIM or MSN email of somsone you know might have it, taht might be a good way to break the ice.

Jamie, i love q's like this.  You can walk up to him and say "What would you think if a girl came up and wanted to tell you she likes you?"  Sometimes  brushing up against his hand, but keeping it there longer just enough for him to realize that you didn't go it accidently.  That gives him the chance to pull back if he isn't interested, and no one but the two of you will ever know it.  Get creative, but be subtle, and keep it between you two only.  That way the whole school doesn't know, and both of you don't have to worry about what anyone else says.

thhis is a secret weapon ive used since fourth grade (im a sophomore in high school now) heehee

ask one of your friends to "accidently" push you or make you bump into him. and when you do, just be like "sorry, my bad" "and if he smiles or w/e, be like "im (your name)"

thats if you very bold

since youd ont know him, theres nothing to lose

please make sure he doesnt alsready have a girlfriend

because girls are betchesss these days and start fights for nothin

so just make sure before you start flirting, eitherwise if shes older than you, youll be screwed for rest of high school.

smiling isnt always good enough

of course it makes you feel great  when he smiles back, but you have to break the ice somehow.

you never know, maybe hes on yahoo answers asking questions of how to talk to you!!!

ps. tons of guys are shy....so if hes quiet, itll be more work

First see if he is any of your classes.

You might get to meet him that way!

If not, see if he might be in your lunch, or if he has a locker near you.

Keep it casual.

You don't want to seem as if you're stalking him.

Just walk up to him, and be like "Hi, I'm _______" I noticed we have 4th hour/lunch/whatever together.

Or, just smile at him one day.

He might really take notice.

EDIT:

No classes, no lockers.  Hmmmm.

I'd just pass him one day in the hall and give him a big grin.

He'll definitely remember it.

well here's a good ice breaker, when in lunch period ask him for some change, that will break the ice, then start any conversation after that trust me it will work.
