  1. I dunno if you're playing acoustic or electric, but here are some easy song suggestions (the ones I first learned when I started playing):

Deep Purple- Smoke on the Water

    Greenday- Jesus of Suburbia

                        Brainstew

Really any song by them, all are really easy

Blink 182- Any song by them; 90% of their songs are very easy

    Snow Patrol- Run (the solo)

    Evanescence- My Immortal (the solo)

Pink Floyd- Wish You Were Here

oo and remember, a lot of songs sound much harder to play than they really are, so don't be intimidated if you listen to a song and think "no way I can learn this!".

  2. A good song to learn to play is your favorite song.  Put on something you like to listen to and figure it out.  You'll develop a good ear that way.

  3. Smoke on the water.

I don't know whether you have an acoustic or an electric, but try this site.

If you can, though, I do suggest taking lessons. You don't need to take many of them, because once you get good at it the only thing that will make you better is practice. But if you are determined to learn it by yourself, good luck!

  4. It makes me happy to see anyone learn how to play any kind

of instrument. My suggestion is that you go and find someone

to teach you. If you could not pay someone to teach you at this

time. Place a ad in your pennysaver or ask around, Try to find

another female out there who would teach you for free. There

are some good christain woman out there who would do this

for no money at all. Go to local churches in your neigborhood.

See if they would place a ad in their church bulletin on sunday.

I wish you well. May God Bless you and Praise Jesus in your

name that you go all the way with your dream and courage.

Best of luck to you for the future.

  5. The first song I ever learned was Niel Young - rockin in the free world. had some good starter chords that fit just about any song. hit up a tab site like www.ultimate-guitar.com look up easy sounding songs you already know and try em out. I search acoustic and just look around. sooner or later you'll find one that fits your abilities.

  6. I was really clueless myself... Had bought books... Looked up thousands of websites, and just couldn't get my "self-taught" career off the ground lol. I found an awesome program at http://www.teamguitarcourse.com and it got me going so fast. Thought I'd share since everything I had found searching the web got me nowhere.

  7. Try to visit this sites..

    www.guitartutee.com - for video tutorials

www.ultimate-guitar.com - for simple guitar chords

try to search for the chords of the songs you are interested to. Remember, it's easier to learn playing the guitar on the songs you really want, because you yourself will know the beat of the song, which can help you in knowing whether your strumming is right or wrong. goodluck in learning! It is fun! :)
