Trying to think of some different subjects?

This is NOT for school like school subjects.

I have Love as one subject, but I need another one such as like death or betrayal to make this story more interesting. Because I have a beginning and an end but the middle is slightly boring at the moment. I need ideas!

May help - It's like the Pride and Prejudice sort of time period.

it's about a man who is already engaged but he falls in love with another girl (lol they get together in the end)

his fiancee is like really horrid and tries to kill the other girl so she's a weirdo.

Okay, I'll do it like this.

In the middle you can:

1. The other girl learned that the man had someone and engaged so she went in the farthest place as she can to avoid the man. But she had fell in love deeply and decided to go back and found out that the man cancelled their engagement and went looking for her. They met coincidentally in a park and confessed their love for each other.

The ex-girl is finding ways to break them up. But they are strong enough.

2. In their engagement celebration, the man escaped and went to the other girl, who's busy with her work. He don't know that the ex-girl was following him and saw him meeting with the other girl. The man asked the other girl for dinner and bought her a new formal dress and a branded shoes. He confessed his feelings to her and the girl agreed. The ex-girl was very angry and seeked revenge. She found a perfect timing to tell the other girl that the man was engaged to her. The other girl looked for information and found out the man has broken up with the ex-girl and it means he's free. The other girl and the man reunited and the ex-girl just went to the other country.
