Tryouts for field hockey?

Ok. So I am going into 7th grade and I want to tryout for field hockey. I've never played before but I really want to make the team! Can anyone give me some advice on how to play field hockey. I know its like soccer with a stick. Right? Please help me! THANKS!

  1. Main thing is RUN

    you have to run so much in field hockey

    i know its about 6 miles for varsity but not that much right off the bat
